Responsibilities
Are you a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for foot and ankle care? UnityPoint Clinic is seeking a skilled Specialty RN to join our team. In this role, you will provide personalized care to patients with a variety of foot and ankle conditions, supporting them through treatment and recovery in a collaborative and patient-centered environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the foot and ankle specialty, including pre-operative, post-operative, and general care.
- Assist with clinical assessments, diagnostic testing, and treatment plans for foot and ankle conditions.
- Administer medications, injections, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients on procedures, recovery expectations, and preventive care for foot and ankle health.
- Assist in wound care, dressing changes, and post-surgical follow-up for patients recovering from foot and ankle surgeries.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate any changes or concerns with the clinical team.
- Collaborate with orthopedic specialists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted RN license in Iowa
- Experience in orthopedic nursing, specifically in foot and ankle care, preferred.
- Specialty certification in orthopedic nursing or related fields a plus.
- Strong clinical skills with experience in wound care and post-operative recovery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide empathetic care.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
