Accounting Advisory (Financial Reporting) - Director

As the Director of Accounting Advisory at Riveron, you will play a pivotal leadership role, orchestrating the delivery of top-tier advisory services to our clients. This position places you at the forefront of our client engagement teams, where you will leverage your extensive experience and deep understanding of financial reporting to guide and direct project execution. You will work closely with partners and senior leadership to develop strategies for client service excellence, ensuring that our solutions are not only compliant but also strategically aligned with our clients' business objectives. The role demands a hands-on approach to mentorship and development of our advisory team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. Your responsibilities will encompass the oversight of project delivery, including the formulation of engagement strategies, directing the assessment and improvement of our clients' financial reporting processes, and leading high-impact advisory projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic perspective to the flow of data throughout the financial reporting process, ensuring regulatory compliance, and acting as a trusted advisor to our clients and a role model to our team.

Who You Are:
  • Possess a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with CPA Certification highly preferred.
  • Experience with Workiva implementations and optimizations within the Financial Reporting solution.
  • Bring a minimum of ten years of experience in financial reporting, including SEC reporting, with a proven track record of leadership and project management in these areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead complex engagements, providing strategic oversight and ensuring excellence in delivery.
  • Extensive experience in mentoring and developing teams, with a strong commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, crafting customized solutions for our clients that meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Skilled in navigating and managing client relationships, building trust, and establishing credibility as a strategic advisor.
  • A visionary leader with a passion for driving the growth and development of the advisory practice, contributing to thought leadership, and enhancing methodologies and service offerings.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead and oversee the delivery of advisory services in accounting and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and execute strategic engagement plans, directing the assessment of current reporting environment, and advising on best practices for streamlining and automating the reporting process.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with clients at the executive level, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Drive the growth and development of the advisory practice, identifying opportunities for expansion, and enhancing our methodologies and service offerings to maintain and enhance our market leadership.
  • Mentor and develop the advisory team, encouraging professional growth, technical excellence, and a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Lead by example, setting high standards for integrity, professionalism, and client service, and fostering an environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, and excellence in every aspect of our practice.
The expected pay range for this position is $180,000 - $227,000 (exclusive of bonus, equity, or benefits for which this role may be eligible). This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making individual compensation decisions including but not limited to experience and training; skill sets; licensure and certifications; location and other business and organizational needs; and applicable laws.
