Candidates with recent experience as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, and who demonstrate mastery in clinical care to enhance curriculum delivery and development in the Nurse Practitioner programs, are encouraged to apply. Prior experience precepting nurse practitioner students, and/or upper division teaching experience is preferred. As a Clinical Instructor/Clinical Assistant Professor/Clinical Associate Professor, you are expected to contribute to the educational, research, clinical, and community service mission of the School of Nursing. The school of nursing clinical faculty are leaders in the implementation of innovative student-centered learning strategies for the development of strong clinical reasoning skills in graduates. Candidates who excel in the delivery of online and hybrid teaching formats are strongly encouraged to apply. All candidates should be prepared to pursue the Scholarship of Teaching in the development of critically reflective knowledge about teaching and learning. Such an approach emphasizes the development, testing, and dissemination of advances in both pedagogy and andragogy. Candidates at the Clinical Assistant/Clinical Associate Professor level are also expected to contribute to the tripartite mission of a major research intensive university by contributing to the research and/or practice/service mission of the university. This position may provide/allow options to continue to engage in clinical practice opportunities.
