Position Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Full Time

$20.94 to $23.03 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. North Area/Titusville/Enchanted Forest. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Performs experienced technical work assisting with coordination of day-to-day operations of the Enchanted Forest Management & Education Center and participating in developing and implementing land management projects and programs.

REQUIREMENTS: Two (2) years [60 semester or 90 quarter hours] of college level credit with major course work in Natural Sciences, Environmental Education, Teaching, or a closely related field PLUS one (1) year of experience working with the public and/or school children. Working knowledge of the ecosystems of coastal Florida is preferred. An Associate's degree in the Natural Sciences, Environmental Education, Teaching or a closely related field is preferred. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain within six (6) months of employment, a valid First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an approved agency and maintain said certification during the term of employment. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. The applicant will be disqualified from further consideration for the position if a Level I background criminal background investigation, performed in accordance with Brevard County Administrative Order 5 (AO-5), discloses the applicant has disqualifying convictions (as defined in AO-5). In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, full-time permanent employees will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
