Application Window Open date: January 10, 2025 Next review date: Saturday, Jan 25, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Jun 30, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The University of California, Irvine, Department of Dermatology offers a 1-year position as a Junior Specialist level to begin in May 2025 in OncoDermatology under the direction of Janellen Smith MD and Christopher Zachary MD. This burgeoning field is ripe for investigation and various projects to be pursued. The major thrust of OncoDermatology is the care of patients benefitting from new life-saving anticancer therapeutics, a significant proportion of whom develop severe skin reactions. There is a real gap in the understanding of these devastating skin complications. The successful candidate will be introduced to the fundamental principles of conducting clinical trials in OncoDermatology including understanding how to design, implement, and analyze trials. They will have the opportunity to participate in complex medical dermatology clinics, as well as participate in ongoing and new projects. They will also have the opportunity to present their work at regional and national meetings and publish their findings when appropriate.
