This role will provide amazing guest service while maintaining the full operational functionality of the building. You and the entire engineering team are responsible for the repair, service, and preventative maintenance of all things within and outside of the hotel building. Essential Job Functions:



  • Lead by example as the Chief Engineer, assisting guests with room calls and efficiently troubleshooting any concerns brought to your attention
  • Uphold the property's condition to exceptional standards, ensuring both functionality and a visually inviting experience for guests
  • Implement and sustain effective energy management and preventative maintenance programs
  • Direct routine maintenance across public spaces, meeting rooms, outlets, back-of-house areas, and surrounding grounds
  • Coordinate and ensure the completion of all repairs, replacements, and renovations in guest areas, offices, and team member workspaces
  • Foster a collaborative team environment within your department and across other departments such as Front Office, Security, Sales, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage


Hotel Specific:



  • Salary: $62,000 - $68,000 annually


Physical Demands:



  • Lift, push, pull, rotate 50lbs or more
  • Standing and walking up to a full 8 hours a day


Qualifications:

Education:





    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Trade school or General Maintenance/Technician certification a plus
    • Previous experience working in a hotel or customer service capacity required




Experience:





    • Mathematical knowledge of building and construction
    • Full understanding and comfort working on a computer with MS Suite-Outlook, Word, Excel
    • Three years' experience performing building maintenance in a hotel or related industry.
    • One year's experience as a head or Assistant Chief Engineer in the same or similar environment.
    • Full-Time position with the flexibility to workdays, nights, weekends and holidays
