HJF is seeking a Financial Compliance Analyst to support financial compliance and conduct financial analysis for assigned internal client areas. These responsibilities include ensuring HJF complies with relevant financial regulations, laws and internal procedures and conducting financial analysis including indirect rate analysis, related submission preparation and reporting. This position will be in support of the Internal Controls & Reporting Department.

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals.


Responsibilities

  • Perform indirect rate analysis and related compliance analysis.
  • Prepare accounting journals related to indirect rates.
  • Prepare invoice support for indirect rates related transactions and other designated transactions. Support process improvements and documentation initiatives.
  • Assist assigned department(s) (i.e. Contracts) with financial analysis, financial structuring and other financial tasks.
  • Support Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audits including, but not limited to, coordinating with appropriate departments (e.g. Accounting, Payroll, HR, Sponsored Programs, Purchasing, etc.) to obtain relevant supporting documentation to respond to DCAA audits/reviews and reviewing the data prior to providing to DCAA. Responding to DCAA follow-up questions and analyzing data related to follow-up questions.
  • Assist with the development of annual incurred costs and forward pricing proposal submission schedules including fringe benefit analysis or other submissions.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field of study.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years experience required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of financial regulations.
  • Attention to detail; high level of accuracy reviewing financial records, transactions and details.
  • Effective communication skills with various stakeholders from senior management, other leaders, legal teams and regulatory bodies.
  • Strong analytical skills; demonstrated experience with financial analysis.
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting database querying.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion and indirect cost rates and analysis and development of incurred cost submission schedules preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) desired but not required.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.

Work Environment

  • This position will take place primarily in an office setting.

Compensation

  • The annual salary range for this position is $73,800-$122,000. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
