Summary:

  • Participate and assist in planning and conducting activities to develop new products or methods/techniques within the Clinical Microbiology product portfolio in full compliance with current quality and safety standards
  • Provide technical assistance for activities to improve or support existing products, methods or techniques.



Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine analytical testing & develop analytical methods based on the product development & support needs by using effective and efficient design control techniques. Participates in the execution of validation protocols.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment including: Sciex LC-MS/MS, Thermo ICP/MS, Agilent GC/TCD/MS, Agilent HPLC-UV-ELSD, Thermo IC, SCIEX CE
  • Responsible for an accurate data analysis process. Plans, evaluates, solves issues, collects data and as well as contributes to the interpretation of results together with team, and deduces further work to be carried out. Prioritizes activities to meet deadlines
  • Provide technical input and design standard experiments to optimize experimental performance or investigate failure mode to support operations for existing products, methods, or techniques.
  • Creates and presents reports on conducted experiments.
  • Performs scientific publications watch and stays informed of the latest advances of a specific expertise area. Contributes to scientific publications.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow company health & safety policies for using chemicals and disposal of chemical waste.



Skills or Requirements:
  • Master's Degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel required
  • Experience with Minitab & Skyline are desired
  • Knowledge of cGMP and FDA regulations.
  • Good oral and written communications skills in English
  • Ability to effectively organize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment with attention to detail
  • Achievement oriented individual possessing intellectual curiosity
  • Flexible with ability to work independently to achieve goals while working apart from direct supervision
