KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Checks shop orders/job traveler to determine priority of fans and/or wheels that need to be tested.
  • Limited troubleshooting to balance equipment with supervision.
  • Ability to add weights onto fans and/or wheels by weld or clip on, also take off weight by grinding as needed.
  • Distributes materials into and out of work area by operating forklift, bridge crane and/or pallet jack.
  • Verifies calibration of balancer.
  • Additional duties may be assigned, dependent upon location and product line.
  • Act, live and behave by TCF Core Values
  • Final quality inspection of the fan/wheel



Responsibilities may vary based on specific department assignments



  • Stencils blade size, number of blades and the proper angle onto the blade. Attaches stickers that indicate in which direction the fan rotates.
  • Ensures that the blade angle is correct; bends if needed.
  • Adds prop's specifications into the computer and performs any necessary measurements including blade diameter. Ensures that the blades are at proper weights. Removes blade and records finished prop.
  • Prints record of balanced blade weights and places shop order with appropriate props.



QUALIFICATIONS



  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 6+ months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Read and understand shop orders/job travelers and blueprints, safety rules, standard work instructions.
  • Ability to read and speak English a plus.
  • Ability to use tools in a safe and proper manner.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic Math skills.



CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND REQUIRED TRAINING

The following certifications and training, if required, will be provided by the company:



  • Weld Certification
  • Forklift Certificate
  • Bridge Crane Training
  • Fall Protection Training



PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

To successfully perform the essential function of this position, employees must have the ability to:



  • Continuously lift/move up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds; frequently pull up to 100 pounds with wheels (pallet jack).
  • Continuously stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulder height; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear.
  • Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms at waist level and below the waist; and work in limited space.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
