JOB SUMMARY NNOC MEMBERS ONLY

LOCATION: ACHN - REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH SERVICES
SHIFT: Rotating 7:30 A.M. TO 5:30 P.M.
Monday -Thursday Four 10-hour days
Starting salary is commensurate with years of RN experience

The RHS Clinical Nurse I (CN I) a first level professional nursing position. Administers care by means of the nursing process and is responsible for providing safe, effective nursing care for patients and supportive care to significant others, both independently, and as a member of the healthcare team. As a professional nurse, assigns and monitors patient care delegated to various levels of nursing staff in accordance with members of the health team center. The CN I provides legible comprehensive medical record documentation that reflects all aspects of care provided. Performs related duties as required. The position will serve patient in Reproductive Health Services clinic, which includes pregnancy termination.

Minimum Qualifications



  • Must be licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Illinois. (must provide at the time of interview)
  • Must possess at least One (1) year of experience working directly in a women's health services program that includes a provision of family planning services.
  • Must possess an active Basic Life Support certification (BLS).(must provide at the time of interview, if already obtained)


Preferred Qualifications




  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • One (1) year of experience working directly in a reproductive health services program that includes a provision of termination procedures
  • One (1) year of full-time clinical work experience, including telephone triage and Telehealth Nursing
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Physical and Environmental Demands
This position is functioning within a healthcare environment. The incumbent is responsible for adherence to all hospital and department specific safety requirements. This includes but is not limited to the following policies and procedures: complying with Personal Protective Equipment requirements, hand washing and sanitizing practices, complying with department specific engineering and work practice controls and any other work area safety precautions as specified by hospital wide policy and departmental procedures.
