Position Highlights The University of Arizona is seeking a Web Program Manager II for the Arizona Sites and Arizona Faculty Sites programs within Campus Web Services. This role is critical in leading the centralization of web development services across the university. During the first year, the primary focus will be on managing the transition process, including business relationship management, employee transition support, and the establishment of new services. Post-transition, the role will evolve to encompass strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, project management, team leadership, and continuous improvement of web services.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Serve
    as the main liaison for a portfolio of university units transitioning from
    in-house web development to centralized services, ensuring a smooth transition
    process.
  • Lead
    a team of developers, designers, and support staff, fostering collaboration and
    productivity.
  • Develop
    and execute a strategic plan for Arizona Sites and Arizona Faculty Sites,
    ensuring alignment with the university's goals and objectives.
  • Ensure
    high-quality customer support for users of Arizona Sites, addressing
    inquiries and issues promptly.
  • Ensure
    that all websites comply with university policies, web accessibility standards,
    and legal requirements.
  • Lead and support the web
    development team through organizational changes, providing clear
    communication, training, and guidance.
  • Develop and implement new support
    services to meet the needs of units previously supported by in-house
    developers.
  • Establish and maintain strong
    relationships with university departments, faculty, and administrators.
  • Stay up-to-date with web technologies and
    trends, providing technical guidance to the team.
  • Maintain awareness of budget allocations for Arizona Sites services
    and manage resources effectively.
  • Develop and maintain training materials and
    documentation for users and support staff.
  • Promote Arizona Sites services across the university to attract new
    users and inform existing users of available features.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong understanding of web development, infrastructure, and website management.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams and projects effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to strategically align web services with organizational goals.
  • Proficiency in project management and ensuring quality in web services.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree AND minimum of 5 years of related work experience, including 2 years of managerial experience

OR

Equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading web development teams through organizational changes.
  • Experience in web technologies, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in higher education.
