The Budget Analyst provides Planning, Programming and Budget Support services.

Duties:

The Budget Analyst provides Planning, Programming and Budget Support services to include:



  • performing historical data analysis
  • draft budget data recommendations (MDEPs/HQDA PEG, POM)
  • administrative/calendar coordination
  • gap analysis (training/personnel) and options
  • queries and data analysis (GFEBS, RM Online and RBuilder)
  • program analysis (PEG and MDEP)
  • developing platforms to support hypothesis testing
  • performing analysis of appropriate resources by priority (Readiness, Training)
  • PPBE programming analysis (PPBOS) for variances
  • mathematical and administrative change verification
  • President's Budget financial data verification
  • reporting/feedback as requested for related budget issues


Qualifications

Qualifications:



  • Demonstrated ability and experience providing analysis, advice, and technical assistance for Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) functions in line with Army PPBE processes.
  • This is an experienced position requiring the capability to interact with Senior Leadership and to provide defendable recommendations and guidance on DoD Program Objective Memorandum (POM) annual submissions with the ability to assess historical POM submissions and relevant financial systems reporting to provide trends analysis.
  • Experienced level understanding and proficiency in DoD/Army budgetary automated and enterprise business systems to include GFEBS, cProbe, and RMOL.
  • Desired experience having served as a DoD Budget Analyst in either a civilian, military, or contractor status.


Required Education:



  • B.S/B.A. degree in a financially related discipline.


Required Experience:



  • Seven (7) years of experience in a financially related role.

  • Secret
