The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:
  • Managing patients in Interventional Radiology throughout the continuum of care.
  • Patient assessment, procedural care, and recovery from anesthesia.
  • Interventional radiology is a procedural unit that operates Monday-Friday for scheduled cases and covers emergencies on off hours for both ambulatory and inpatients. IR performs a wide range of sterile and non-sterile procedures using minimally invasive techniques; Some examples include Angiography, Sclerotherapy, Embolization, Needle Biopsy, Vascular Access, Cryoablation, Radiofrequency Ablation, thrombectomy, and Gastrojejunostomy exchanges.
  • Working 10-hour day and evening shifts, 30 hours per week between the hours of 6am-7pm Monday - Friday and call rotations.
  • On Call rotations for nights/weekends/holidays are typically 2-3 weeknights/month, 6-7 weekends a year, and 1 holiday/year.
  • Must be able to report to the hospital within 45 minutes when on call.

To qualify, you must have:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of Critical Care, Radiology, Procedural, ED, or equivalent experience.
  • Pediatric experience and PALS certification preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and superb collaborative skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence in both verbal and written communication.
