For more information, visit nyit.edu. NYIT Office of the Registrar, seeks a Registrar Assistant located at the NYC campus. This position may be eligible for some remote work as in line with the New York Tech remote work policy. Responsibilities Provide excellent customer services to the college community. Meets with students on a drop in, walk-in, or appointment basis throughout the semester. Provide courteous and accurate customer service information to the college community in accordance with NYIT policies and FERPA. Students should be serviced courteously and expeditiously so that others are not kept waiting. The college catalog and registrar procedures should guide responses to students. Consult with the senior assistant registrar if assistance is needed. Assure that the release of student data and information complies with FERPA and safeguard all forms, documents and information. This includes locking computers and cabinets when not in use. Work independently to answer the general departmental email account and consult with Assistant Registrars and other offices to assist students, faculty, and staff. Liase with the other enrollment services offices to answer questions related to student withdrawals and process withdrawals as received. Assist students in completing forms related to their enrollment and write enrollment verification letters as needed. Support Assistant Registrars in conducting and creating trainings including creating training materials. Manage caseload of students for graduation review. Maintain student records in PeopleSoft for each student audited for graduation. Qualifications Associate's Degree or equivalent is required. Professional and effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Ability to be collaborative, respectful, approachable, and team oriented to build strong working relationships and a positive work environment Ability to prioritize, plan, organize, and schedule in an efficient and productive manner with attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines. Knowledge of PeopleSoft student information system or other SIS, FERPA, Microsoft products including Word and Excel is preferred. Strong customer service orientation. Minimum Salary USD $38,000.00/Yr. Maximum Salary USD $42,000.00/Yr. |
