Summary:
The Vocational Services Employment Specialist II role provides support to individuals with disabilities in jobs in their communities. This includes training individuals in job tasks, assessing progress towards mastery, and developing goals and interventions to maximize independence.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Two years of college education with the ability to provide supervision and training to people with disabilities required. Completion of Maine Employment Curriculum preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: State of Maine's Job Coach Training required or achieved after hire. Valid Driver's License required.
  3. Experience: Six months of previous job coaching and/or working with people with disabilities preferred. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of Vocational Services - Employment Specialist I role.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Travel to multiple community locations to deliver services.
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A
