New Graduate Registered Nurse Residency Program- Full Time, Benefits Eligible!

MedStar Washington Hospital Center is an innovative teaching and acute care medical institution with a national reputation as a leader-particularly in the areas of cardiovascular, cancer, kidney disease and transplantation, neurosciences and in the emergency treatment of stroke, trauma and adult burn injury. MedStar Washington Hospital Center's Nurse Residency program provides support to new graduates as they transition to professional practice. The program is designed to provide each nurse with the tools necessary to deliver safe, effective, and competent high-quality patient care. The Nurse Residency program is managed by experienced clinical educators who facilitate both classroom and clinical orientation components. Our dedicated educators provide participants with an exceptional level of individualized attention throughout the residency program.

Our Job Requirements:
Education: ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
RN Academic Requirement: For new graduates hired with an Associate degree, employment with MedStar Washington Hospital Center is contingent upon enrollment into an accredited BSN program within six (6) months of employment, and continuing matriculation in the program to achieve a BSN within 4 years of the program start date. Proof of enrollment to be submitted to Nurse Leader.
Certification/Registration/Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Washington, D.C. and BLS is required.
