PAINT LINE LOAD/UNLOAD LEAD

Coordinate paint line loading and unloading schedules to meet customer's delivery requirements. Regulary communicate with team-members, MC's, PC's and Scheduling to ensure that appropriate actions are taken to address any exceptions. Load/Unload leads are responsible for maintaining quality standards and accurate part counts.

  • Follow all Spacesaver safety policies and procedures. Demonstrate proper ergonomic practices, understand E-stops, and pinch points.
  • Perform Standard Work by following Work/Operator Instructions/Training
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Meet or exceed department's production efficiency goals.
  • Understand and practice 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain).
  • Communicate to PC or Supervisor regarding required preventative maintenance on machines as required.
  • Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
    • Complete quality inspections using precision measuring devices.
    • Perform problem solving and containment. Perform in-process documentation and non-conforming material process.
    • Complete all required record documentation.
    • Support and participate in assignments in other work areas, as work load demands change.
    • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
    • Use Spacesaver's ERP system to join and leave a work center as a team member or operator, start/stop shop orders, and report quantities of acceptable and scrap product.
    • Adhere to scheduled work hours and be available to work overtime as needed.
    • Behave in a safe manner at all times.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years of experience or a technical degree and 1-2 years of experience.
  • Achievement of a passing score on required assessments.
  • Complete all assigned developmental training plans, classes, and certifications.
  • Solid PC familiarity, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and memos in the English language. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to other team members.*Please note that translation assistant can be provided through a request to HR.
  • Able to read tape measures and efficiently operates all other required measuring devices such as calipers, scales, protractors and other measuring equipment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
  • Good time management skills, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and be attentive to detail.

Physical Demands AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand a minimum of 8 hours on a cement production floor. The team member frequently is required to use arms to reach, bend, twist, and/or rotate. Regularly uses hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel. The team member is regularly required to bend and/or kneel. The team member must repetitively lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Team members are also required to frequently talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Team members in this role are exposed to seasonal temperature/humidity changes.
