Requirements

    Experience with Test and Evaluation (T&E)
  • Experience planning and executing programs on a test range
  • Direct Test Range experience (civilian/military) in coordinating range threat test assets - addressing program T&E Master Plan (TEMP) issues
  • Air Force experience
  • Outstanding writing skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Analytical skills based on engineering or hands on experience
  • Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Professional Office Suite in a Windows environment
  • Comfortable interacting with senior level leadership
  • Functions in a fast-paced high pressure team environment
  • Active Secret clearance


Desired Skills

  • Air Force experience in air-to-air system testing (blue and red perspective) and ground to air testing is preferred.
  • Possess the ability to identify test and evaluation infrastructure requirements, capability and resource gaps both near- and long-term using research, planning and analytical skills


Description

Advises customer on T&E Range Oversight on both technical and managerial matters pertaining to the Department of Defense's US Air Force T&E infrastructure, including strategic planning, adequacy of emerging and existing test capabilities, assessment of the MRTFB, resource management, and T&E budget certification. These activities provide a baseline for efforts to guide, assess, and certify the adequacy of the US Air Force T&E investment programs as related to the T&E workforce, infrastructure, and related operations and investment funding.

Maintains cognizance of US Air Force T&E infrastructure in assigned area of responsibility for the purpose of assessing the test capabilities and resources needed to successfully develop, test, and field war fighting and military operations other than war capabilities.

Considers Service and Department priorities, and inputs from the acquisition and test communities, to develop a comprehensive and balanced investment strategy for both acquiring new and maintaining existing T&E capability continually optimizing the capability in anticipation of emerging technologies and budget constraints.

  • Identify test and evaluation infrastructure requirements, capability and resource gaps both near and long term using research, planning and analytical skills
  • Support MRTFB oversight functions including but not limited to facilitation and participation in IPTs, JATs, joint and/or interagency working groups and ad hoc directed studies
  • Develop and present products to senior level customers, industry and/or military groups to include briefings, issue papers, and POM issues
