THE POSITION

Utilize your management and multi-tasking skills as an Administrative Officer 1 for the Cumberland County Assistance Office (CAO)! We are looking for a motivated individual to help lead our team of clerical staff and offer support in various duties in the office. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Officer 1, you will be responsible for the overall administrative functions and business administration of the CAO. You can expect to monitor the issuance, control, storage, and security of all controlled documents. Your duties also include coordinating all teleworking activities for the CAO, tracking all equipment signed out or returned, and providing remote support to teleworkers with IT complications. Additionally, you will coordinate all clerical operations and hold regular meetings with clerical staff.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
  • Travel and overtime as needed.
  • Work Conditions: Assigned duties are performed in a controlled office environment. In Counties with District Offices, employees may be reassigned to different work sites due to operational needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Cumberland County. If no eligible candidates who live within Cumberland County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
