About the Department
The mission of the NC State Department of Athletics is to prepare student-athletes to compete at the highest level and to inspire them to be leaders now and for the future by providing the best environment to achieve their athletic, academic and personal aspirations as well as providing support for the professional development of our coaches and staff, all within the role of the greater institutional relationships to the University. North Carolina State University competes as an NCAA Division I Men's Soccer team in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Essential Job Duties
Serve as Assistant Coach of Division 1A Men's Soccer program. This position will assist in the overseeing and managing all aspects of the Men's Soccer program. This includes promoting the philosophy and objectives of the North Carolina State intercollegiate athletics program.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Embrace the Athletics Department's strategic plan and execute it with unmitigated resolve, while being compliant with all NCAA and ACC rules.
  • Assist with the scouting and recruitment of student-athletes, to include assisting with on-campus visits of prospective student-athletes.
  • Assist in coaching student-athletes; evaluate their performance in practice and competition.
  • Monitor the conditioning and training of student-athletes.
  • Assist in monitoring the academic progress and eligibility status of student-athletes.
  • Maintain statistics; interfaces with officials.
  • Participates in public relations activities, as approved.
  • Assist with budget preparations and operates within approved budget allocations.
  • Handle travel arrangements as assigned.
  • Participate in clinics, exhibitions and camps, as approved.
  • Attend appropriate coaches meetings.
  • Promote the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program.

Other Responsibilities
  • Performs other duties and assists with special projects as assigned by the Head Coach and Athletics Administration.
Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum of two years of collegiate soccer coaching experience

Other Required Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of NCAA bylaws
  • Dedication to the success of student-athletes in their academic and athletic endeavors

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with Division 1A Soccer team.
Required License(s) or Certification(s)
  • Must be able to pass annual NCAA Coaches exam.
Valid NC Driver's License required No
Commercial Driver's License required No
