Job Overview & Essential Functions

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Business Intelligence Analyst. This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting datasets to identify trends and patterns, then translating that data into actionable insights for business decision-making by creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations, often presenting these findings to senior management; key responsibilities include data collection, data cleaning, statistical analysis, data modeling, report development, and collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements.

  • Designs, develops, and supports business intelligence applications and dashboards according to user requirements and best practices.
  • Works with users and other technical staff to validate data models and application content.
  • Makes recommendations for more intuitive ways to present and analyze data available within the BI application.
  • Serves as a learning resource for coaching operational and financial users in creating ad hoc and prototype reporting applications.
  • Applies standards and best practices to prepare and implement BI applications into the production environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Business Intelligence & Reporting Manager.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business admin, computer science, economics, statistics, business analytics or related field with and 1-3 years of professional experience preferred.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Power BI / Fabric.
  • Must have excellent analytical, communication, organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail to validate data and ensure quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively to provide users with information that meets their needs.
  • Must be able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with business users and Information Technology team members to design and build quality solutions for business users.
