Wargame Designer and Analyst

Key Role:

Prepare and conduct defense and military analysis in support of a Department of Defense client. Conduct general research to support warfighting disciplines, COA analysis, strategy development, and organizational processes or procedures. Support government-led studies and analysis on all aspects of the defense enterprise relevant to major acquisition and force design decisions. Support the design, execution, and delivery of analytic tasks associated with wargames, simulations, and tabletop exercises, including the shaping of objectives, crafting of wargaming constructs, authoring of scenarios, facilitation of participant discussions, and authoring of after-action reports and briefings. Provide wargame subject matter expertise on a diverse set of research topics of interest to the DoD, including military weapon and system capabilities, force structure and readiness analyses, assessments of joint, mission, and theater-level military operations, as well as regional and global strategy and policy issues. Brief senior-level government leadership on study findings.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience designing wargames

  • Experience in mixed methods approaches and diverse methodological training

  • Ability to take a proactive approach to problem solving and assigned tasks

  • Ability to learn and apply new methods as required by the particular analysis

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in the commercial board wargame industry

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Master's degree preferred; Doctorate degree a plus

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
