JOB DESCRIPTION

The Director of Treasury will manage relationships with investment managers and financial institutions, evaluate investment opportunities, oversee cash management, banking, and insurance programs. This role will contribute significantly to our strategic financial goals, drive operational efficiency, and support the team in achieving a high standard of financial governance and transparency.

This is a hybrid position, reporting to our Oakland, CA office as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Runs the investment management function, evaluating and recommending investment strategies and products to senior leadership. Prepares and presents investment reports to executive leadership and Board of Directors. Develops and maintains corporate policies pertaining to investments and related topics.
  • Ensures compliance with investment accounting standards and manages financial reporting, reconciliation and regulatory submissions. Works closely with the accounting team to implement compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
  • Supervises banking operations together with the Treasury Operations Manager. Designs and maintains cash forecasting models and liquidity strategies and collaborates with cross-functional teams on cash flow forecasting to ensure overall liquidity efficiency. Maintains credit facilities to support Operations.
  • Implements and maintains operational policies for internal treasury controls, focusing on operational risk mitigation. Leads periodic reviews and updates of treasury policies, procedures, and operational standards; monitors and maintains compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures, and covenants.
  • Owns the analysis, placement and optimization of insurance coverage, along with the insurance broker relationship and program management.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams, 5+ is preferred
  • MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise evaluating and presenting investment strategies and products
  • Proven leadership in developing and implementing treasury policies and best practices
  • Experience with treasury management systems and online banking platforms
  • Familiarity with advanced data analytics tools and financial modeling
  • Experience in automation and process improvement within a treasury function
  • Working knowledge of banking operations
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
