KARL STORZ is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join the KSUS Operations team, reporting to the Director of the Distribution Center. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Tableau visualization and a strong passion for creating business value through data modeling and performance analysis. This position offers the opportunity to work on large-scale data sets, applying data engineering techniques to drive impactful business decisions across various teams, including logistics, supply chain, customer support, compliance, and more.

Primary Duties:

  • Collaborate with internal business teams to design, build, and automate Tableau reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights on customers, products, and sales force performance.
  • Perform quantitative analysis on internal and external data, producing clear and actionable narratives to address operational needs, VOC behaviors, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilize data modeling, wrangling, and analytics techniques to gain insights into customer and sales rep behavior in the medical device market.
  • Partner with compliance teams to develop metrics for performance measurement and continuously improve data insights and solutions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including technical services, logistics, and customer service, to improve company KPIs and align with business priorities.
  • Apply predictive modeling techniques to solve business challenges.
  • Create intuitive visualizations, infographics, and presentations that clearly communicate data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to address urgent business needs and high-impact decision-making.
  • Continuously explore datasets to uncover new insights and opportunities.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in data exploration and visualization using tools like Tableau or PowerBI, with a portfolio showcasing clear, insightful visualizations.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, including building and deploying data models for real-world applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions to executive leadership.
  • Proven success in collaborative, service-oriented team environments.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects from inception to delivery.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Attention to detail, self-discipline, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Advanced problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL (or other data query languages), with experience handling large-scale data efficiently. Familiarity with Python or R is a plus.
  • Experience in the medical device or healthcare industry is a plus.
  • Experience in process management or with tools like Celonis is a plus.

  • Experience with SAP/WMS/TMS/ERP systems.
  • Ability to work in an office setting, adhering to standard physical office environment requirements.
