About This Role

The College of Arts & Sciences at Kansas State University seeks a dedicated, student-centered Academic Advisor to support programs in the Department of Psychological Sciences. What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Requires a bachelors degree and one year of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 3-6 years advising related experience
  • Strong commitment to student success
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Master's degree in relevant field
  • Knowledge of NACADA Core Competencies and best practices in academic advising
  • Understanding and knowledge of the mission of the College of Arts & Sciences, its programs and the programs offered at Kansas State University
  • Familiarity or experience with first-year students
  • Experience with student success tools such as SSC Navigate, familiarity with Microsoft Office 365.


Other Requirements:



  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
