The Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost at the University of Virginia is seeking a Special Assistant/Senior Special Assistant to provide a wide scope of support activities for pan-University academic and research initiatives, including projects associated with the University's Grand Challenges. These initiatives bring together faculty, staff, and students from multiple schools and disciplines to work together on complex challenges. The person selected for this position will work with the Vice Provost for Pan-University Initiatives (VPPUI) and other leaders within the Provost's Office and across the University. They will serve as a key staff member who will work closely with the vice provost, faculty leaders, and operational units to help design, launch, manage, and track an evolving portfolio of projects funded through Grand Challenges and other pan-University initiatives. They will act as a liaison for the vice provost to internal and external groups, offices, and constituents.

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree with at least seven years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with at least two years of relevant experience. Anticipated Hiring Range: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00, commensurate with education and experience. This is an exempt level, benefited position. This position will remain open until filled.
