The Accounting Intern will be primarily responsible for providing support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments in Waltham, MA. The intern will be responsibilities to ensure timely, efficient and accurate support of departmental processes and reconciliations.

"Gauges" of Responsibility

  • This position is intended to require independent work under the supervision of the Assistant Controller / Department Manager.
  • Work closely with the department in order to address/resolve outstanding items that arise.
  • Prepare reconciliations and balance sheet / P&L account analysis in support of daily operations and month end close.
  • Fill in for co-workers as needed.
  • Support special projects as assigned by Manager.

The GPS of our Interview Process

  • Applicants should be seeking a four-year college degree with at least 2 years completed in undergraduate study in Finance or Accounting.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce at a high level of accuracy and have the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a dynamic team environment.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook.
  • Ability to efficiently learn and utilize new software applications.
  • Must possess integrity, strong work ethic and be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and dynamic team player who is able to meet the demands of a growing business environment.
  • Must be able to commit to 40 hours per week from June 5th - August 11th.
