English Learner Support Specialist - Math (Freelance)

IXL Learning, a leading edtech company with products used by millions of students worldwide, is seeking an English language support specialist with expertise in K-5 mathematics to work with our content team. In this role, you will collaborate with math curriculum designers to provide teachers with strategies for supporting multilingual learners' language development. This is a remote 1099 consulting role for 6 months with possible extension. #LI-REMOTE WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Review math lesson plans and identify appropriate strategies to support multilingual learners' language development Write supporting content for teachers describing how they can apply those strategies Collaborate with math curriculum designers to meet project deadlines WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR BA/BS in education or a related field required Certification or extensive experience in English language acquisition required Strong knowledge of K-5 mathematics required Excellent writing and grammar skills The ability to be efficient and organized while working on multiple projects Prior experience developing K-5 math curricula is a plus ABOUT IXL LEARNING IXL Learning is the country's largest EdTech company.
