What part will you play?

The engineer will be required to maintain the technical facilities in a ready state and support the systems and spaces as necessary. This includes but is not limited to the execution of break/fix relative to need, escalation, performance testing of all systems, and the reporting of all conditions to the client's representative(s).

What will you be doing?



  • Responsible for the lifecycle of broadcast and AV equipment within the arena.
  • Monitor, configure, and maintain facility infrastructure systems.
  • Initiate troubleshooting from escalation to resolution of technical issues.
  • Collaborate with technical and creative teams leads to assist in system configuration pre-event for optimum productions.
  • Maintain and follow the scheduling, coordination, sourcing and supervision of external vendors and third-party teams used for successful event planning, media services, and technical production.
  • When internal capabilities are exceeded, work closely with vendors to coordinate repair services for media and AV systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on media and AV systems. Maintain detailed logs for future troubleshooting, vendor tracking, and system performance review.
  • Find areas of inefficiencies within the enterprise that can be upgraded via workflow, hardware, training, and design.
  • Work with the client team to recommend potential design changes, redundancy, or operational improvement suggestions within the facilities.
  • Maintain and update proper documentation for workflows, best practices, and error bible.
  • Help monitor ticket queues and escalation paths for AV and production systems.
  • Record and maintain regular activity and progress reports for service requests and reported issues.
  • Liaise with the client and its designees or other parties in the specification and fulfillment of technologies for special events.
  • Assist on-site leadership in fulfillment and reporting of all aspects of SLA requirements.
  • Report to and work within the designated client site representing Diversified and acting as an extension of the client's team.


What do we require from you?

Education/Certifications:



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate/Bachelor degree ( Preferred)


Required/Desired Knowledge, Experience and Skills:



  • 8+ years of experience as a broadcast engineer or similar role
  • Experience with troubleshooting and maintenance with broadcast standards and monitoring, media workflows, hardware, media storage, and technologies related to routing, encoding, audio and video signals, and media supply chain.
  • Maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of server-based digital video, audio control systems, graphics systems, automation systems, and associated software and hardware infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Codec transport, SDI, NDI, and Basic Network IP protocol.
  • Experience with Ross Xpression.
  • Digital Signage and LED troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Basic Media Management theory.
  • Ability to interpret and create detailed system drawing.
  • Proven track record of created designs put into commission
  • A clear understanding of project phases Program, Conceptualization, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction and Commissioning.
  • Proven track record of time management to successfully meet deadlines for completing projects.
  • Ability to operate commercial audio visual, video conferencing, and broadcast equipment
  • Ability to use a scope to correct audio and video for optimal use.
  • Detail-oriented, independent, self-starter.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Live events support / maintenance experience.

Our compensation ranges reflect the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The pay details below range from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience depending on the position offered, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
