Position: Landscaping Foreman (Stormwater) Location: Chicago, IL Schedule:Full Time, 40-55 hours per week (Monday - Friday only) Compensation: $22.00 - $24.00+ an hour depending on experience Travel is required for this position. Up to 5 days of travel is typical (M-F only). We're hiring a Landscape Foreman (Stormwater)in Chicago, IL to play a key role in providing landscaping and maintenance expertise to service our clients' stormwater infrastructure on commercial properties. This position is a driving force behind our Stormwater team's success. If you have prior experience in Landscaping, as a Lawn Maintenance Technician, Construction Worker, General Laborer, or Groundskeeper,or if you enjoy working outdoors, we want to hear from you! Time Off: 15 days of annual paid time off and 9 company holidays Safety Benefits: Personal protective equipment provided,water breaks for summer season Healthcare: Company-subsidized medical, dental, and vision plans Financial Security: Company-paid life insurance, optional short and long-term disability insurance, 401k match, tuition assistance, and continuing education support What you'll do: Plan, direct, and schedule landscaping, routine maintenance, and light repairs of stormwater infrastructure (retention ponds, detention basins, drainage ditches, stormwater grates, and other stormwater assets). Lead a crew of 2-4 crew members, communicating and enforcing all safety regulations. Perform mowing, weed-trimming, debris removal, ground maintenance and cleanup, light construction, and maintenance repairs for client properties. Operate landscaping and light construction equipment and maintain the equipment trailer. Prepare reports and document work in the field using Apex proprietary systems. Travel from the shop location via the company truck to client sites locally and regionally. Up to 5 days of travel is typical (M-F only). What we're looking for: 2-5 years of experience in outdoor labor (landscaping, construction, grounds maintenance and repair, or similar work). Must pass pre-employmentscreenings. We are a drug-free workplace. Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and a reliable method of transportation. Willingness to travel. Solid understanding of landscaping equipment and materials Ability to perform various physical tasks (i.e. bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, etc.) and work in a variety of weather conditions.
