Description

Position Summary & Responsibilities:

The normal working hours for this role are anticipated to be Monday - Friday from 6:00am - 2:30pm.

This position is to work closely with Line Maintenance, Production, & Engineering personnel in planning, scheduling, and execution of production maintenance activities. Incumbent will establish, maintain, and publish the department's work schedule. Work schedule includes, preventive maintenance, inspection based, planned corrective, and reactive based corrective work orders. The Sr. Production Maintenance Planner/Scheduler may be required to perform other functions outside of planning & scheduling as directed by management.
  • Primary point of contact for CMMS related activities including:
  • Responsible for initial screening of incoming work orders, identification of scope, and analysis of required level of planning
  • Conducts field walk downs with Supervisors, Engineers, and Trades to identify and document job requirements.
  • Identifies specific safety hazards that will be encountered in the performance of the proposed work.
  • Ensures that all aspects of the existing company safety policy are incorporated into the job plan.
  • Estimates required hours on work order tasks, total work order duration, and skills required to perform the task.
  • Gathers necessary engineering or technical documents, specifications, and drawings and writes clear and concise work procedures.
  • Plans parts for all projects to increase "wrench time" and maximize efficiency.
  • Coordinates priority setting with the management team - places specific emphasis on obtaining the input of operations personnel in the setting of priorities.
  • Participates in outage planning activities such as scope identification and control, scheduling, coordination, risk assessment, execution, and continuous improvement.
  • Compiles and delivers reports from CMMS regarding the work execution management process.
  • Communicates with contractor resources directly on specific work orders assigned to the contractors and the performance expectations of the work order. (Does not manage the contractors but ensures that all of the details of the work order are clearly communicated and understood).
  • Provides (as needed) after hours phone support to technicians and Group Leads in order to maintain production and enable completion of PM work orders.
  • Works directly with vendors and equipment OEM's to resolve machinery issues.
  • Serves as a back-up technician as needed.
  • Supports management team during audits.
  • Provides training to technicians to improve their knowledge and skill set in the use of Blue Mountain Ram (CMMS).
  • Manage and maintain the calibrated equipment for the department including working with the calibration department to ensure on-time completion.
  • Perform investigations for the calibrated equipment, when applicable
  • All items requiring department intervention or assist to become standard work and schedule into CMMs system.

Education, Skills, & Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years work experience in the skilled trades
  • 5+ years' experience using EAM/CMMS required.
  • Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude
  • Strong Computer skills required: CMMS, Excel, Word, Microsoft Office
  • Able to read and interpret vendor manuals and drawings.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively with shop floor personnel, vendors, OEM suppliers, and management personnel.
  • Able to perform some level of cost analysis and work within a structured budget and ability to write detailed repair reports.
  • Can manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and keep them progressing to completion.
  • Self-Directing - Able to work towards specific goals and objectives with limited daily oversight.
  • Committed to safety and teamwork.
