Check out this video: Why You Should Join our Skilled Nursing Team Job Summary The Unit Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of nursing services on his/her shifts, promotes cooperation and assures proper communication flow. The Unit Coordinator promotes a safe environment for residents, teammates and visitors and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. The Unit Coordinator maintains clinical and professional competency and demonstrates leadership in the role of professional nurse, preceptor, and clinical resource. This position assists with nursing tasks on the units directed by the Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager or Nursing Supervisor.
Physical Requirements Must speak English and be able to communicate effectively with residents, visitors and staff. Must have good general vision and hearing, as well as excellent verbal skills. Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling. Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds shoulder high. Critical thinking and the ability to respond quickly and efficiently to stressful situations in necessary. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Current LPN licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of NC required. Two years of nursing experience with the geriatric population required. Ability to work quickly and efficiently with minimal supervision. |
