SW Controls, division of FCX Performance/an Applied Industrial Technologies company, is headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan, and is one of the Midwest's largest process control representative and distributor organizations. You'll spend your time interacting with your customers in determining their flow control, valve and instrumentation needs, while providing solutions/services to meet those needs. You will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction, retention and sales results!

As an Outside Sales Representative,you will grow your territory (and your earnings!) by bringing in new business and developing repeat business relationships within your existing accounts. This will require that you call on engineers, maintenance and others to determine their needs through a consultative approach.
Other Responsibilities Include:

  • Achieve sales and profit goals by developing and retaining existing customers and by opening new business.
  • Conduct sales and service activities, develop strong customer relationships, identify product applications, and introduce new products and services.
  • Organize and conduct training sessions for customers.
  • Complete reports regarding itineraries, expenses, sales calls, leads, and other related matters.

Position Requirements:

  • Proven outside sales within the industrial marketplace.
  • Control, valves, flow meters-flow control knowledge preferred!
  • Self-motivated & aggressive in sales tactics and strategies; desire to close sales!
  • Computer proficiency including MS office, SAP/ERP/P-21 a plus!

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree/Equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
