Description and Requirements

This role will help build and articulate quarterly and annual marketing investments to build Lenovo's brand, communications, consumer, and commercial marketing endeavors. The position is also responsible for managing the team focused on aligning with key alliance partner plans while assisting in management of core marketing budgets. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a foundational knowledge of marketing processes and the detail orientation to deeply understand the financials and relationships that will fuel long-term growth.

You will:

  • Lead a marketing operations team with a growth mindset and focus on professional development
  • Work with NA marketing and finance leaders to ensure all marketing investments are clearly understood and being executed
  • Work with Sr. Director of NA Alliance Partnerships to build relationships with our partners
  • Understand the objectives of alliance partner priorities and align those with our internal plans; maximize the financial support received from alliance partners
  • Problems associated with this position are strategic in nature; the selected individual must have a creative and innovative approach to business planning allowing them to synthesize objectives from multiple stakeholders and build investment strategies with Lenovo's NA CMO
  • Serve as "ambassador" for the NA CMO and represent in financial discussions/meetings as required; stay abreast of major initiatives and sensitive issues to proactively anticipate the involvement of marketing
  • Conduct regular and adhoc data analyses to provide synthesized information for day-to-day business management and decision making
  • Act as the primary liaison between Corporate Marketing, Worldwide BU Marketing, and North America relating to optimization of investments and resources

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent experience required
  • 10-15 years of experience in marketing, co-marketing programs, and finance ideally working with strategic partners and business development; technology industry experience, ideal
  • 3 - 5 years of strategic support to executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Results oriented individual who has experience with building marketing strategy and budget plans
  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments and at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and be creative in problem solving
  • Possess the ability to listen to varying views and make specific recommendations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
