Job Summary

The Sr Operations Analyst will play a critical role in strategic planning and process optimization, focusing on enhancing efficiency, utilizing metrics to achieve company goals, and ensuring the successful implementation of operational initiatives.

For this role, Masimo is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills to join the Operations team. Having a data-driven and analytical mindset, along with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), will be key to the success of this role.

Duties & Responsibilities



  • Analyze annual and quarterly demand forecasts, along with company-defined targets for inventory management, to evaluate supply planning performance and monitor progress towards achieving company goals.
  • Identify new and existing metrics to track the "Plan versus Actual" and establish the appropriate forum (and/or method) of reporting performance. Assign actions with relevant stakeholders to address any metrics that are off target in a timely manner.
  • Relevant Metrics can include (but are not limited to): Days on Hand (DOH), Forecast Accuracy, Build Plan Attainment, Safety Stock, Inventory Turns, Fill Rate, Distribution Center (DC) Stocking Targets, and more.
  • Conduct data analysis of various product portfolios, working with Excel or other data management tools, both from a bottoms-up view (i.e. SKU) and from a top-down approach (i.e. demand forecast or project milestones).
  • Provide strategic input into the development and execution of tasks/projects to enhance the successful implementation of operational initiatives. Previous project management skills are a bonus.
  • Familiar with the following functional areas: Demand Planning, Materials Planning and/or Procurement, Production Planning, Capacity Planning, Inventory Management, and Product Distribution.
  • Utilize data or key performance indicators (KPI's) to identify potential bottlenecks or process gaps in a timely manner; communicate relevant information to impacted stakeholders and establish the appropriate recovery plan based on the scope of the issue identified.
  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, cross-functionally and with different levels of management.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancement and/or improvement and collaborate with cross-functional peers to find creative solutions for them.


Desired Skills and Experience

Minimum Qualifications



  • 5 years relevant experience within the healthcare/technology industry with in-house manufacturing.
  • Experience with high volume, high mix product portfolio.
  • Excellent conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Independent starter with ability to think critically and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively on cross-functional projects, use leadership and task management skills to keep project(s) on schedule.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to interface effectively and efficiently with team members in various business functions and management levels.


Preferred Qualifications



  • 7 years relevant experience, ideally within the Medical Device or other healthcare/technology industry with in-house manufacturing.
  • Previous project management experience preferred.
  • Detailed understanding of Operations in a global medical device-manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with optimization tools and techniques.


Education



  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a STEM field: Process Engineering, Biomedical/Bioengineering, Science, Business, etc.
  • Master's degree preferred (i.e. MBA)


Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000 - $110,000 plus benefits. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. This position also qualifies for up to 10% annual bonus based on Company, department, and individual performance.

Physical requirements/Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver's license is required.
