THE JOB: The Technology Distribution Architect is responsible for delivering effective technology designs that meet MGM Resorts International's standards and regulatory requirements. The position involves ensuring all installations are code-compliant, adhering to company specifications, and maintaining accurate documentation and drawing archives. The architect will work closely with Infrastructure and Network Architects to review technical designs and provide guidance, while ensuring that the technology infrastructure aligns with industry best practices and the company's internal operational objectives. Additionally, the Technology Distribution Architect will provide Level 2 support during infrastructure outages.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Participate in defining, architecting, engineering, and documenting standards for building technology infrastructure. Develop scope of work (SOW) for all projects and conduct peer reviews of other Infrastructure Architects' SOWs and project closeouts. Collaborate with business units, contractors, consultants, IT teams, and other stakeholders for structured cabling design. Ensure all installations comply with MGM Resorts International standards and relevant code requirements. Work with electrical and structured cabling contractors to ensure project work meets or exceeds MGM Resorts' standards and expectations. Perform quality control on structured cabling installations to ensure compliance with the SOW and local codes. Assist in maintaining structured cabling infrastructure documentation, current drawing archives, and SharePoint site. Provide support in troubleshooting and resolving tier 1 and tier 2 issues during infrastructure outages.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
5+ years of prior relevant experience in hotel, casino, and entertainment infrastructure design and installation. Including interbuilding and intrabuilding design experience. Prior experience using diagnostic cable certified testers. Platform and system certifications by industry recognized organizations such as Siemon, Belden, Corning.
