Status: Full Time, 40 hours per week

Schedule: 3:00pm - 11:30pm; Monday - Friday with rotating weekend

Job Summary:

MedStar Health is looking for a Unit Clerk to join our team at MedStar National Rehab Hospital!

The Unit Clerk provides clerical support to the patient care center, ensuring efficient communication, coordination of information, and resource management. This role is essential in maintaining a smooth workflow within the nursing station and supporting patient care.

Primary Duties:

• Perform reception, clerical tasks, and manage information systems to support nursing services and patient care.
• Serve as a key communication point between staff, patients, and visitors.
• Prepare records, reports, and maintain charts as directed.
• Manage unit resources efficiently and report any issues to the Director of Nursing or Clinical Manager.
• Ensure implementation of customer service standards for patients, families, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain competency through ongoing education and training; assist with onboarding new staff.
• Stay updated on unit activities and goals through staff meetings or newsletters.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months+ of hospital or healthcare-related experience preferred.

This position has a hiring range of $17.5 - $28.73
