Computer Systems Analysts, Senior

BAI, a defense contractor, is seeking a Computer Systems Analyst Senior with 10+ years' experience for Department of Defense program onsite at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake in Ridgecrest, Ca. and/or Point Mugu Naval Base in Camarillo, CA.

Salary

The typical annual salary range for this position is $120,230.00 USD to $136,800.00 USD. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.

Functional Description:

Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to implement and improve computer systems
• Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations
• May analyze or recommend commercially available software

Responsibilities:

• Senior level person typically works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently
• A Senior level person may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job
• Develop and run algorithms
• Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to implement and improve software or computer systems
• Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations
• May analyze or recommend commercially available software
• Reviews program plans for specific weapons systems, sub-systems, and equipment or information technology systems
• Working at the customer's site with government personnel to ensure program success

• 10+ years of experience performing the duties described in the Functional Description and Responsibilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening-for staff, customer and organizational level communications, both formal and informal
• Ability to work independently; self-starter
• Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

EDUCATION

Degree: MA/MS degree in a Computer, Information Science field, Mathematics or a relevant technical discipline

Allowable Substitution: Bachelor's Degree plus 4 years additional work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree

CLEARANCE

Condition of Employment: Applicant must have an active DoD Secret Level Clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
