Genesis10 is seeking a QA Lead for a hybrid contract position with a leading client located in Cranberry, PA.

Job Description:

A QA Automation Lead is primarily responsible for designing, developing, and implementing test automation frameworks, leading a team of automation testers, identifying automation opportunities, collaborating with developers, and ensuring the quality of software applications through automated testing processes, all while overseeing the overall test automation strategy for a project.

Job Duties:

• Test Automation Framework Development:
  
  
  
  • Designing and building robust automation frameworks to streamline test execution and maintenance, including selecting appropriate automation tools and libraries.
  
  
  
  
• Team Leadership:
  
  
  
  • Managing a team of QA automation engineers, assigning tasks, providing guidance, mentoring junior members, and ensuring team efficiency.
  
  
  
  
• Test Planning and Strategy:
  
  
  
  • Defining automation test strategies, identifying areas suitable for automation, creating test plans, and estimating automation efforts.
  
  
  
  
• Test Case Design:
  
  
  
  • Developing and reviewing automated test cases based on functional requirements, user stories, and business needs.
  
  
  
  
• Test Execution and Reporting:
  
  
  
  • Overseeing the execution of automated tests, monitoring test results, identifying defects, and generating detailed test reports.
  
  
  
  
• Defect Management:
  
  
  
  • Tracking and managing identified defects, collaborating with developers to prioritize and resolve issues.
  
  
  
  
• Stakeholder Communication:
  
  
  
  • Communicating automation progress, risks, and findings to project stakeholders including product owners, developers, and management.
  
  
  
  
• Collaboration with Manual Testers:
  
  
  
  • Working closely with manual testers to identify areas for automation and ensure smooth integration between manual and automated testing.
  
  
  
  
• Continuous Improvement:
  
  
  
  • Identifying opportunities to optimize automation processes, improve test coverage, and maintain the automation framework.
  
  
  
  
• Technical Expertise:
  
  
  
  • Staying updated on the latest automation tools, technologies, and industry trends to ensure the team is using the most effective automation solutions.
  
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
• Expertise in various automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Eggplant)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Attention to detail and quality standards
