Boston Children's Hospital is proud to offer an outstanding opportunity for three nursing students who have a passion for pediatrics and oncology care. The Susan D. Flynn Oncology Nursing Fellowship Program was created with the intent of developing the next generation of oncology nurses. The Fellowship includes a comprehensive scope of direct care, observation and learning experiences. Students will have exposure to oncology nursing within the context of a pediatric hospital setting. They will learn about the roles and responsibilities of a pediatric oncology nurse including but not limited to:
As part of this learning/development experience, fellows will complete a case study/nursing rounds presentation addressing an aspect of pediatric oncology nursing. This project will be presented to oncology nurses and nursing leadership at a Fellowship closing ceremony during the last week of the program. Program Schedule:
