The responsibilities for this position will include research involving tissue culture, molecular cloning, generation of knock out/-in cell lines using CRISPR-Cas9 techniques, protein interaction analysis, signal transduction pathway analysis, expression of recombinant proteins, preparation of samples for mass spectrometry analysis and possible mouse work. This position is for one year (with the possibility for renewal) and suitable for an individual with skills in biological sciences who is looking to gain research experience on the way to further career development, such as going on to PhD training. Areas of specialization include signal transduction focused on the RAS signaling pathway, Appointees in the Specialist series will be expected to engage in specialized research, professional activities and do not have teaching responsibilities. Specialists are expected to use their professional expertise to make scientific and scholarly contributions, and may participate in University and Public Service. Screening of applicants will begin immediately and will continue as needed throughout the recruitment period. Salary and rank will be commensurate with the applicants experience and training.
