$20.00 - $22.00/hour

Hours: Monday-Friday, standard business hours with flexibility (between 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM).


What You Need to Know

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cash Applications Specialist to join our growing team in Rosemont, IL. In this in-office role, you will play a crucial part in the accurate and timely processing of cash receipts.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily processing of incoming cash receipts, including checks, electronic funds transfers (EFTs), and credit card payments.
  • Bank deposits twice per week.
  • Sorting, endorsing, and logging incoming checks.
  • Posting cash receipts to customer accounts within the accounting system.
  • Reconciliation of bank statements and resolving discrepancies.
  • Research and resolution of payment discrepancies.
  • Handling customer inquiries related to payments.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all cash transactions.
  • Assisting with payor enrollments (ACH, EFT).
  • Tracking and trending of accounts receivable payments and recoups.
  • Preparing and sending weekly UPS packages to the Dallas office.
  • General administrative support as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare cash posting required.
  • Strong understanding of Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA), Explanation of Benefits (EOB), and 835 payment files.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating spreadsheets, pivot tables, and utilizing formulas.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with workflow optimization and process improvement is a plus.
