The Engineering Intern will provide support to various members of Sechan's engineering staff. This individual will be involved in a number of phases of the product life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing.

Position Responsibilities:

* Assist staff engineers by providing support on products in various areas (Electrical, Computer/Software, and Mechanical).

* Assist staff engineers with updating test software, designing tests fixtures, and creating test procedures.

* Provide engineering support on the production floor when needed.

* Create documentation which clearly details designs and test procedures.

* Participate in design and test reviews.

* Develop Engineering Change Orders.

* Troubleshoot and document test failures of production hardware.

* Perform the above in accordance with the company's procedures for best practices.

* Perform other duties as assigned to support business goals and objectives.

Skills & Abilities:

* Ability to work independently; a 'self-starter' that requires little supervision once given a task.

* Possess organizational and communication skills, enabling the candidate to work within and between integrated teams and perform a variety of tasks in a dynamic team environment.

* Possess the technical experience and background to troubleshoot and resolve issues within the development, test, and production environments as needed.

* Experience with using basic test equipment such as multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply, etc.

* Experience with schematic/layout capture software a plus.

* Experience with C, Java, or Python programming language a plus.

Qualifications:

* Currently enrolled as a rising junior or senior in a 4 year college or university working towards a major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar.

* US citizen due to government contract requirements.

Work Environment:

* Office Environment: Requires physical capability to work in an office environment including sit/stand up to 9 hours a day and use basic office tools such as a computer, copier/printer, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

* Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Thursday; every other Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

* 9/80 work schedule.

* Office located in Lititz, PA.
