Job Description

The Employee Relations Specialist reports to the Employee Relations Advisor and specializes in partnering with People Leaders across the organization proactively identifying areas for improvement and providing guidance to support people leaders across the organization in continuing to advance a positive team member experience.

Job Responsibility



  • Support the Employee Relations Advisor in all ongoing initiatives, including the development of meeting agendas, content, and action items.
  • Maintains the team's portfolio tracker, including a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of all ongoing initiatives, projects, and actions that the team is involved in.
  • Review various workforce data and identify trends to understand areas of opportunity. Partner with the Employee Relations Advisor to develop strategies to support People Leaders in managing these areas of dissatisfaction.
  • Coordinate various training offerings including organizing and developing of material, scheduling, and managing enrollment rosters.
  • Develop various communication materials and resources in partnership with various subject matter experts designed to assist leaders in communicating and addressing areas of dissatisfaction within their teams.


Job Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field, required.
Minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible experience as an HR Generalist, required. Employee relations experience, preferred.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; PeopleSoft experience required

Preferred Skills



  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, including material development, scheduling, and maintaining accurate project tracking.
  • Experience with Excel to analyze workforce data to identify dissatisfaction trends
  • Basic knowledge or experience working in a union and non-union environment preferred.
  • Ability to work under general guidance where work assignments are varied and require interpretation.
  • Prior HR experience, preferred.
