Position Summary The Tuition Classification Officer (TCO) manages the tuition classification process for all students, which includes, but is not limited to, reviewing circumstances relating to tuition classification, evaluating supporting evidence of Colorado domicile, executing residency decisions, and sending follow-up communication to students while strictly adhering to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), as well as process and chair the tuition classification appeals. One of the TCO's primary responsibilities is to ensure that the University adheres to the policies and guidelines set by the Colorado Department of Higher Education and tuition law. This involves a deep understanding of state and federal law, particularly the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). The TCO is expected to independently research, interpret, and adhere to complex regulations. The TCO also plans, streamlines, and advances processes and procedures related to tuition classification and training new admissions and call center staff on these requirements. The TCO will be responsible for updating students' tuition classification upon receipt of proper documents. This role also involves providing support to students, parents, staff, and faculty via direct contact, telephone, email, and web-based chat. The TCO's expertise in tuition classification policies and procedures is crucial in these interactions, ensuring a high level of customer service and a positive experience for all involved. IND208 Duties and Responsibilities This position will be the decision-making authority on all tuition classification changes for undergraduate and graduate students. As such it requires a high-level knowledge of administrative concepts and practices used to solve and evaluate tuition classification inquiries and processes. 25% - Determining Tuition Classification

Salary for Announcement The minimum of the pay range for this position is $45,300. We anticipate the qualified candidate to be placed between $47,300 - $56,650. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. Additionally, Student Affairs has committed to tying our salaries to an understanding of a living wage. To that end, we will not pay less than $47,300. The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
