What you'll do: As the Inventory Control Coordinator for Independent Truck Fitters (ITU) (a Shyft Brand) based in Roseville, MI, you will enjoy processing inventory transactions and coordinating customer part sales. You will also be accountable for performing random cycle counts based on ABC classification, reconciling and making corrections to inventory variances found during the cycle counts, and filing all related documentation. You will also: * Inform management of gaps to inventory control and compliance issues * Spearhead projects and kaizen events for continuous improvement in inventory control and material transactions * Review and process inventory adjustment tickets * Process material transfers between stockrooms * Perform work order booking transactions * Input text on work orders and document shortages and serial numbers * Maintain work orders based on material changes * Oversee material usage as the order is built * Review and release units as they are completed * Generate federal certification and tire tags * Perform random cycle counts based on ABC classification * Reconcile variances and make corrections based on root cause * Compile inventory accuracy report based on cycle counting documentation * Reconcile negative inventory issues * Process material-receiving transactions * Complete special projects as assigned * Participate in the year-end inventory count process Learn more about The Shyft Group and ITU by exploring the Learn More section below.
