POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Red Peak Technical Services, LLC is looking for a skilled Construction Superintendent in the Virginia area to coordinate and plan all site activities for a contract. This person must have at least 5 years of construction and safety management experience. Must be able to handle construction equipment.



  • Review schedules against construction activity, review submittals, coordinate subcontractors, conduct weekly meetings, compile weekly reports, and quality control-
  • Ensure assigned construction operations and subcontractors' performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budget.
  • Supervise and direct operations within assigned discipline or area.
  • Supervise and subordinate foremen, subcontractors and others as assigned.
  • Coordinate with City municipalities for working permits.
  • Perform general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions.
  • Utilize a forklift, backhoe, lulls, and other approved equipment to complete the installation.
  • Coordinate and schedule multiple subcontractors
  • Perform safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, and safety enforcement.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by assessing project safety conditions, investigating accidents, injuries & "near miss" incidents with development of corrective actions.
  • Identify project task hazards with authority to correct hazards or terminate activities if hazards cannot be corrected in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Project Team, Project Manager, Customer/Owner, and others to resolve safety issues.
  • Conduct daily safety and health inspections and maintain a written log which includes area/operation inspected, date of inspection, identified hazards, recommended corrective actions, estimated and actual dates of corrections. Attach safety inspection logs to the contractors' daily quality control report.
  • Conduct mishap investigations and complete required reports. Maintain the OSHA Form 300 and Daily
  • Production reports for prime and subcontractors.
  • Maintain applicable safety reference material on the job site, to include MSDS.
  • Attend the pre-construction conference, pre-work meetings including preparatory inspection meeting, and periodic in-progress meetings. Implement and enforce accepted APPS and AHAs.
  • Maintain a safety and health deficiency tracking system that monitors outstanding deficiencies until resolution.
  • Ensure sub-contractor compliance with safety and health requirements.
  • And all other duties as assigned.


Payrate:$74,984 Annually

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate's degree and/or five (5) years of Superintendent experience.
  • Pursuant to the Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Must be able to act as a Safety Officer
  • Ability to pass a background screening for the appropriate Military entity having jurisdiction over the project.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must have completed 3O-hour OSHA Construction safety class or equivalent within the last five years and have documented an average of at least 24 hours of safety training per year for the past five years.
  • Must be OSHA certified
