POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Afognak Native Corp has an opportunity for an On-Call Laborer. The On-Call Laborerreports to the Director of Property Management and its Alutiiq subsidiaries staff. This position provides manual labor assistance at the Afognak Alimaq Center on an On-Call basis. We are continually accepting resumes for the position and will contact those qualified and interested when work becomes available.



  • Perform tasks involving physical labor at the Afognak Alimaq Center
  • Set-up and break-down room configurations for special events including, but not limited to moving furniture, set up and take down of tables, chairs, podium, dance floor, etc.
  • Provide janitorial duties prior to and following events
  • Other duties and projects as assigned


Pay rate:$16.23 to $20.28 hourly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to communicate with the public in a professional and courteous manner and handle difficult situations
  • Must be timely in performing duties, maintain professional appearance
  • Must adhere to the Corporation's confidentiality policy
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines, and prioritize work effectively
  • Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision, be punctual and reliable
  • Required High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Willing to work: days, evenings, nights, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
