Test Technician I - 1st shift

The Test Technician will perform automated and bench testing by following acceptance test procedures to verify product performance, compliance, and safety. When a product does not meet specifications, the test technician will perform basic troubleshooting to determine the cause of failure and create non-compliance reports.
Position Responsibilities:
* Test various products using standard test equipment.
* Record and save test data.
* Perform basic level troubleshooting.
* Document test failures for rework under direct supervision.
* Perform routine preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems.
* Identify and resolve equipment malfunction with engineering.
* Monitor test equipment to ensure equipment is working correctly.
* Maintain accurate system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
* Perform other duties as assigned to drive the values, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization.
Skills & Abilities:
* Ability to use problem-solving techniques while troubleshooting electronic units and equipment.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Capable of multi-tasking and handling constant changes in priorities.
* Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows.
Qualifications:
* Associate's Degree in Electronics preferred or equivalent military training.
* Ability to read and work from technical documents, schematics, drawings, and datasheets.
* Knowledgeable in electronics and computer equipment, testing, and processing.
* Be able to obtain a security clearance.
Work Environment:
* Production Environment: Requires physical capability to work in a production environment up to 9 hours a day including; sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities including; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
* 9/80 work schedule.
