Job Description

Bremer is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role as a Community Mortgage Loan Originator (CMLO). This role is a Mortgage Loan Originator with an emphasis on Community Lending. Along with standard expectations of a Mortgage Loan Originator this role will be responsible for outreach to non-profit organizations and focusing on identified markets for mortgage lending opportunities and participating in events representing Bremer Mortgage. The CMLO will collaborate with sales, underwriting, and operations on implementation of new community related first mortgage products and down payment assistance products and with marketing on implementing market specific material with a community Lending focus. Additional duties will include assisting in coordination of training for first time homebuyer products as applicable for sales and operations and collaborating with Bremer compliance team as required for assistance in reporting functions related to Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) lending and outreach activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience & 2 to 3 years' relevant work experience.
  • With the community lending focus this position will be responsible for originating first time homebuyer loans, working with targeted markets and will have an annual sales goal.
  • Ability to originate and qualify mortgage loan applicants which most commonly includes interviewing customers to obtain pertinent financial information, analyzing the financial data to counsel the customer on appropriate mortgage funding options and other retail products, and initiating the process in compliance with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to demonstrate and consistently model Bremer Values, Bremer Leadership Competencies and foster an inclusive work environment.

Pay Range

Pay Type: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Minimum: $ 10.75

Midpoint: $ 10.75

Maximum: $ 10.75

The base pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.

A bonus and/or incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, time-off, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
